Kuljit Parmar CCNA/DA CNE
has been at the helm of Knowledge Computers for over 15 years now. However, his tenure with Knowledge Computers started much earlier. Kuljit actually started as a student with Knowledge Computers’ wholly owned subsidiary, School of Computer Knowledge, back in 1981 when he was 6 years old. From an early age he showed a great interest in technology and was taken under the wing of founder Michael Goodliffe. As the years progressed, Kuljit continued on and joined the Knowledge Computers staff in 1986 when he was 10 years old. Going forward, Kuljit was involved in many IT projects but showed a strong understanding for networking technologies. Starting with early networking platforms such as Lantastic and moving on to Novell and Microsoft installations, Kuljit eventually made his way into the Wide Area Networking field. To further develop his skills in Corproate WAN's he took on a 1 year contract position in Ontario, Canada. There he acted as a Senior IT Manager for a large publicly trading construction company with 30 offices throughout North America. On his return, he realized the very strong growth potential in Enterprise networking, and shifted the focus of Knowledge Computers from PC sales & training into the Enterprise networking arena. Kuljit quickly realized the strong demand for refurbished enterprise networking equipment not only in Canada but globally.
In 2002, after seeing great demand coming out of Southeast Asia, Kuljt approached Alan Ler, a Senior Network Engineer with AT&T, and Mei Leng Tang, a senior sales representative with Comstor Pte Ltd, to come aboard as managing partners in opening our Singapore division. Shortly there after Kuljit wanted to develop a presence in the USA to service our existing customers better. So he brought Dave Potter, an experienced Senior Sale Manager in the networking arena, on as a Managing Partner for Knowledge Computers’ US Operations. In Kuljit's spare time, he enjoys travelling, real estate investing and spending time with his family. Kuljit Parmar is married to wife Janice, and they have 3 young children: Marcus and twins Grant and Jessanna.
